Clinton Street – waited in line for about a half hour before they opened, then got seated at the bar. lovely service, food, and atmosphere. the blueberry pancake were to die for. 10/10
L’artusi- this is their wagyu carpaccio, we also had their ribeye and squid ink pasta. it was okay, nothing to write home about. their bread was a huge miss for me. 6/10
Mama’s Too- their slices are amazing, so we decided to give their sandwiches a try. it was the messiest sandwich i’ve ever eaten, but one of the best. 9/10. chicken alla vodka sandwich
Peter Pan Donuts- my favorites were the blueberry glazed and the sour cream. a box of 8 was $14, which was so refreshing to hear in the city lol. would i go here again though? probably not. i just felt like there isnt anything too special about them. 6.5/10
Radio Bakery- I’m going to start off by saying that I was so disappointed by the earl grey bun as it was so incredibly dry. BUT, the pistachio croissant, rhubarb custard pastry, and the focaccia lox were incredibly delicious. 8/10
Grace Street- I got the cookie Monster shaved ice and the basque cheesecake. shaved ice is really fun, it was flavorful, but unfortunately i hated the texture (that’s just me). the basque cheesecake was delicious. 8/10
Din Tai Fung- I made a reservation about a month ago, i was pretty excited to see what the hype was about, but im just gonna get straight to the point and tell you guys that you can get 1000000% better in chinatown for a third of the price. the soup dumplings lacked flavor, spicy wontons lacked spice, sesame noodles were just ok. things i enjoyed: pork chop fried rice, string beans, and the chocolate mochi was magnificent. 4.5/10
8 + 11- Supermoon Bake House- ube pandan ice cream sandwich and strawberry lychee jasmine tea croissant. this was the highlight of my trip. the texture of that ice cream sandwich blew my fucking mind, as well as the flavors across all desserts. 10/10
Apollo Bagels- their bagels were amazing- fluffy, airy, flavorful. the white fish salad, cucumber, and dill were chef’s kiss. 10/10
Pop-up Bagels- got them fresh out of the oven and got the roasted red pepper and salted butter schmear. rip and dip bagels are a cool concept, line wasn’t too long of a wait, bagels were delicious. 9/10
Best Bagel & Coffee- the wasabi cream cheese and lox were delicious, but their bagel was most definitely not my favorite. 7/10
Cafe Panna- i truly ascended when i opened the pint. when i got back home i placed an order for 6 more pints on gold belly. this was definitely a stacked flavor, and i love mix ins, the texture was silky. the salted malt chocolate base was genius behavior. 10/10
Pecking House- no pictured was their sesame salad which i absolutely devoured. the flavor at this place is unmatched and id recommend. 9.5/10
Chinatown Ice cream Factory- i got the black sesame. good flavor, it’s just i found the ice cream to be too sweet and found less of those nutty notes. the texture was also not very good. 4/10
Golden Steamer- Fluffy pillows of deliciousness. 10/10
Mei Lai Wah- pineapple roast pork bun is what i yearn for. it was absolutely delicious and sweet. 10/10
Win Son Bakery- the scallion pancake breakfast sandwich with shrimp was a dream come true. but that mochi donut, i’d order 12 and keep them to myself. 10/10
L’industries- i’ve had their slices for years, and they never disappoint. the burrata slice makes the world go round. 10/10

Really great post. Thanks OP
Yeah. Din Tai Fung is meh. I hear their soup dumplings are great in Taiwan because of the particular pigs they use there. Hard to replicate in the US.
They are, however, consistent. That can be hard to achieve. But not sure why they’re so crowded all the time.
good lord you did it up right 🫱🏽🫲🏼

I need to try that cafe panna ice cream! I havent tried the black sesame at Chinatown Ice Cream Factory but their almond cookie flavor was pretty good and had a nice texture. I wanted to try making black sesame ice cream at home and add oreos to it or black wafer cookies. As much as I love the flavor I feel it needs a kick of something else to go with it lol. Im kinda obsessed with ice cream 😆
Also wanted to add that Soft Swerve has great black sesame soft serve ice cream!
So proud of you going to Clinton street bakery. My favorite breakfast spot. You should’ve gone to the timeout mag mall in dumbo as there are no reservations and you can eat anywhere in the mall. The lower east side spot is cool but there are long lines. But happy you like my favorite pancake spot
One of the only good posts like this I’ve ever seen.
Damn you hit all the spots… great job, OP!
pop up bagels are overpriced and not special
God I miss getting off the China town buses on canal st, walking to Wah Fungs no1 (right next to the bus comp. I usually take) hop skip, jump to some dumplings, and off to little Italy – the smells on McDougal St are wonderful
I’m not going to lie everything looked by your except that cucumber bagel 😭😭 maybe taste better than it looks?
Thank you for your service! (Cracking up at the rip & dip “concept” as that’s how I’ve always eaten bagels. Wish I had thought to conceptualize it )
Looks incredible. Thanks for the post. Just added some places for our upcoming trip!
Pork buns a pro move.
Yummmm
I’m drooling….
It is hilarious we never tire of food fotos. Looks like you had an amazing time! My favorite was the bagel loaded with cucumber and dill.
Great list! I am hoping one day you could give Chinatown Ice Cream Factory another chance. I got quite often and have my favorites – green tea cookies & cream, zen butter, Thai iced tea, and a few others not coming to mind. I’ve never had the black sesame, bummer you didn’t enjoy it. Hopefully if you’ve got the time and are willing to try again, another flavor will be better. 🙂
You ate!
Best bagel is amazing
I love win sons scallion pancake breakfast sandwiches. They are a must when visiting NYC
If you ever go back to peter pan, eat a ham egg and cheese those are bomb on the thin bagels.
You went all over! Yum!!!
