One of my all time favorite producers, and such an incredibly precise wine around the $40 mark. Last time with this one for me was the ’19, a couple yrs ago. I think that showed just a touch more energy than this ’23- but only a touch. This was still a super vivid, crystalline, and refreshing red with some sneaky depth to it. Tons of bright strawberry, pink floral tones, salty sea breeze, some fresh thyme. Crisp acidity, fairly high but extremely well integrated, never tart. Not any noticeable tannin really, but a gentle little weight to it. Chuggable as hell without feeling simple or one-note. To quote my old sommelier pal who taught me much of what I know about wine, this would definitely be “slutty” lol. Definitely a step up in deliciousness and complexity from the same vintage of their Gamay I posted notes for [recently ](https://www.reddit.com/r/wine/s/26c5sYSamY)although both were lovely.

Great notes and great wines. Stopped by recently and was stunned by the acidity and minerality on everything we tasted. For the trousseau in particular, I thought I got a little dried orange peel. And their rose was delightful

Love Arnot Roberts! Holding onto a ‘16 Que Syrah that I need to drink soon. Would love to try their Trousseau if it was ever in our area. Hoping to visit their tasting room soon as I’ve heard it’s great.

I really want to try this and the gamay but no luck locally. I’ve got access to the watson ranch Chardonnay and the base Syrah although a ‘23. Recommend either?
