My dishwasher is a wonderful young lady with down syndrome. She is sweet and happy every single day, and she has started leaving notes for the kitchen staff as if she's a prisoner of the dish pit 😂

I had a nonverbal dishwasher years ago who would draw awesome pictures on the whiteboard of what he wanted for his staff meal.

We just got a new girl in my kitchen, 19yo, just got her culinary arts certificate. I made SURE she got food and drinks if she wanted. Treat your dishies right, and they’ll pay ya back in kind. I’m so glad that’s an unwritten rule of the industry.
