Canton
Basilica of St. John, St. John Hall, 627 McKinley Ave. NW: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Turkey dinners with all the traditional side dishes will be available for carryout.
Canton Salvation Army, 420 Market Ave. S: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday. Turkey dinners with sides, roll and dessert. Community is welcome; no registration needed. Call 330-453-0158 for more information.
Deliverance Christian Church, 2631 Harvard Ave. NW: Thanksgiving dinner following 10 a.m. service Nov. 24. All are welcome.
Sister’s Soul Food, 900 Harrison Ave SW: 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 25, Thanksgiving meal giveaway.
Restoration Community Care Center Charitable Thanksgiving Dinner Event, 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 27 at the First Church of God in Christ, 1125 Gonder Ave. SE. Turkey, ham, lots of sides, rolls, salad, and desserts will be available. Guests are encouraged to take their meal home to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with their family but also can sit down and eat if they want to. There also will be a limited amount of hygiene supplies, household products, hats, gloves, and scarves, and a few other items available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Jackson Township
Church of the Lakes, 5944 Fulton Drive NW: Noon on Thanksgiving Day in the church’s Activity Center. The community is welcome, but seating is limited, and reservations are required. Lawrence Township
Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church, 14411 Orrville St. NW: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Dine-in, carryout or delivery available. Dine-in meals will be served at North Lawrence Fire Department, 4052 Alabama Ave. NW.
