My first ever grill came today! Can’t wait to put it together and get started. I have a chimney starter, vortex, and probes, so I’m excited to start grilling, smoking, cook up wings, and all the other cool stuff I’ve seen people on this sub doing. Open to any suggestions, recipes, etc! I know grabbing a beer while the coals are lighting is mandatory.

Welcome to the club.
Meat Church, Hey Grill Hey are good places for recipe ideas.
I got the same thing as my first one. The 1st thing I smoked was a chuck roast.
You gonna love it. Get it lit, don’t over think too much. You can find almost any recipe on YouTube for a Weber kettle. Post the fun on here 🙂
Take it slow , easy does it
fucking good for you. its my favorite grill.
easiest way to get good consistent temp is using the snake method. so easy to control because it burns so slowly and for so long (8+ hours). i can walk away for hours and not have to change anything.
if just dumping coals in, its a little harder to control but once dialed in and you get some experience, its still pretty easy.
i have smoked everything on this, ham, ribs, ribeye, chuck, wings with the vortex, chicken thighs, pizza.
it has been one of my best purchases. Gonna pick up a gridiron 36 and a woo burner to finish my outdoor cooking.
