Two months to go until our roots are in the ground

I finally can take breather my 128 pepper plants in 64 pots are wearing their final shoes until I can get them planted outside. Two more months in the basement with less maintenance than I’ve been doing. The 1^(st) two pics are them in one of my snake rooms where the temps are in the 80’s and I was watering them every other day. I just finished moving all of them to my shop room for more space and lighting. The dirt is ProMix mositure control, the pink packaging, got it on sale late last fall. It’s definitely cooler in my shop(60’s) and that will slow them down. That’s my way of slowly hardening them off because I live in southeast Michigan (zone 6a). Been only feeding them melted snow water so far. I need to get the oscillating fan going soon to help out with edema that will happen because the room is only heated with a chute off the main house heat. As it warms up outside less and less heat is pumped in. Last year I grew in pairs also with not the best results. This year I’ve been using a root divider in each pot as they have been growing. A game changer when it comes to up potting. Also, a good space saver to pack them closer together. I have noticed a better equal grow between the two plants and their roots. As they expand, I do have one empty area with new lighting for the under achievers to bring them up more equally. It isn’t perfect, but its working for me.

How much sour cream do you go through in a year?

Hope you get a good harvest for all your work! I am starting my seeds indoors tomorrow (3b).

  5. What are the dimensions of the deep pots? In the photo it looks very deep for such a small container like 20cm

Yo! What are those Power Ranger containers???

  7. I’m extremely jealous. My plants are now 5 weeks in, and they are still only about an inch high. They just aren’t growing.
