    Not at all. American wagyu cattle at $2.05-$2.10/lb. Live.

    That’s @$3.44/lb. In the beef.

    I sell my platinum wagyu middles at $22-$25/lb. Yielded cost takes it to $25-$30/lb.

    That’s a good price compared to what we’re asked to pay in CA. I saw wagyu NY strips for $42/lb last weekend. And they didn’t look as good as these, either.

    Even regular grass-fed goes for $25/lb or more around here.

    I’d consider buying the whole lot if that was around me. I’m used to prime ribeyes costing more than that.

    i remember when USDA Prime used to be 10.99 a pound. Hey at least I had bunch of meat, growing up.

    If you all think that’s a good deal or cheap then consider getting a costco membership. That is better marbling than you’ll find on anything at Costco usually but, value per dollar, I’ll take costco prime every time.

    My local farmer we buy from has such a great bloodline and feeding process down that all his steaks look like wagyu. So lucky to have him. We buy whole cows at $7 a pound and thank the good lord daily for our luck.

    For where I live, with that quality, those are some really good prices. Dry aged ‘choice’ ribeye is 30ish a pound. Regular USDA Prime ribeye is 26ish a pound. I would have zero issues paying another $5-6 to get American Wagyu. Marbling on a few of the ribeyes look amazing. Albeit the top pieces don’t look as good as the ones closer to the bottom/glass but the marbling is still very, very good for all of them.

    Now the marbling on the NY strips is absolutely stunning. Definitely a higher grade of beef.

    I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up the ribeyes or the NY strips at those prices and at that quality.

    That’s so good looking steaks and the price is solid for American Waygu , the marbling looks nice!

    That’s a decent price for them compared to the steaks where I’m at. No marbling and it’s like $70… literal highway robbery.
