Hello!
My dad asked me to bake something for his poker night, all I have for ingredients is leftover buttercream from the cupcakes in the photo! I can't make cute rainbow cupcakes for a bunch of big men on poker night, how do I recycle the buttercream?! Do I dye it until it's brown? Hide it somewhere? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Most guys don’t pay attention to the colour of treats. They just consume and enjoy!
If it tastes good, they won’t care. I’d go for it

I’m not sure of your rools/comfort but my first thought (besides fondant toppers) is to flattop ice them and transfer poker chip markings.
Draw with edible marker on parchment a reverse image of poker chip marks/amounts and then flattop ice the cupcakes (placing them upside down on the drawing
Apologies if this was over explained.
Another way could be to do a similar thing with royal icing transfers 🤷🏻♀️
If you keep mixing the rainbow colors all together won’t it just turn into a kind of flat ‘manly’ grey-brown color? 😁 then you can stick fondant poker chips on top.
Usually if I want to reuse random mixed colors of frosting, or if I accidentally screw up when coloring frosting and can no longer get the color I want out of it, I like to beat in some cocoa. Stealth chocolate frosting hiding a rainbow of sins 😁

If you mix it they’ll turn to a not so pretty brown. I usually mix them and make it black but that requires a lot of food dye and changes the butter cream flavour. Stick to rainbow, looks amazing!

If you have cocoa powder, add that and turn it into chocolate buttercream

If a person won’t eat it because “it’s girrly/that’s for a little kid/its LGBTQ+ flag color” they got bigger issues then just a single cupcake

When I was doing macarons I had a captain crunch “crunch berry” flavor, and I would swirl the color on the shells to match the crunch berries. Almost 100% of my orders for that specific flavor were the middle aged dudes lol. It started as a 4/20 special and I ended up having to make them a permanent fixture on the menu thanks to my friends’ dads 😅
If their machoness can’t survive a few rainbow cupcakes, that’s their problem, not yours. My mom made moon cakes once and I turned half into disney characters with sesame seeds. Everyone, grown men included, went for the decorated ones first lol

I made cupcakes for a diaper keg a few weeks ago and they were elegant and beautiful. The men appreciated them. Guys can have pretty cupcakes, too! Just go for the Fruity Pebbles ones!
Side note, when I have lots of colors of buttercream leftover, I mix all the colors together and make chocolate buttercream. The cocoa powder and melted chocolate I add are sufficient to cover the colors.
As a big (228 lb/50 years old) man…I’d love it if someone made me rainbow cupcakes.
These will be perfect for them as they hope to find the “pot of winnings!” My husband and sons all say, “They could be pink, purple, or traffic cone orange, if they’re good – they’ll eat it!”
Mix all the colors, then yes it’s brown, but add a bunch of cocoa and voila it’s chocolate
