Saw a juicy ribeye while shopping… sometimes you just gotta make steak. Seasoned with Salt/pepper/garlic powder. Reverse seared at 250 degrees until internal of 110 degrees. Rested for ~10 mins. Seared in smoking hot cast iron with avocado oil for 45s each side, utilizing a cast iron weight. Did another round of 45s per side while basting in Wagyu tallow. Sliced and seasoned with some flaky sea salt since I couldn’t dry brine over night…. Best steak I’ve made so far. Shout out to Majime Knives.

  1. Shit, this gotta be one of the most visually appealing cooks I’ve seen on here.

I love how simple steak can be. This was done within a couple hours of buying the steak. No dry brine, just seasoned for about an hour. Used a simple lodge cast iron and that’s it. Anyone can do this on a whim!
