Local store had a weekly flash sale on strip steak for $3.99/lb.

I believe this is likely sirloin or London broil yeah? I got strips from the same store the week before on sale as well and they had much better marbling.

I would believe it, your front one has the little tail there. The marbling obviously sucks.

I think there’s a reason these were that price.

Very well could be strip loin but that cow lived a rough life.

  4. That looks way too lean. It could be a strip but it’s not USDA choice or prime

still have marks from where the jockey was hitting

Looks like buffalo except for the color. Pound it flat and make chicken fried steak.

It’s a Strip alright. If there’s any grades under Select, this is about 8 notches down from that. Probably inedible.

Stir fry, stew or grind it up. Ground mixed with a little ground pork will make a good meatloaf

The cow must have died from natural causes.

I think we would be awesome if you gave us an update on how you cooked it and how it came out. I would be impressed if you pulled something off

  11. I have never seen a better argument for Sous Vide than this picture. 24 hours and a hard sear should make them delightful.

Was it in like a secret mystery meat grab bag, or you legitimately saw these prior to buying them?

  13. This is the healthiest cow ever. Works out every day, keto diet.

Sometime I wish after showing the precook picture people would show the cooked picture. #ijs

Shaped like strip. I’d have got it too used an oil based marinade, and reverse sear. Got to make exceptions for $4 steak.

That looks like pork chops 🤣🤣 but if you really need to tenderise and turn this into a good steak J would say soak it in a blended pineapple for 3 hours to tenderise the steak it will at least be better

How did they look and taste after cooking? I bet they were great.
