Japanese Ginger Pork with Onions

    Another week of rice, veggies, and protein! Trying to keep up the streak. This week involved ginger pork with onions, or shogayaki I believe.

    Bought thinly sliced pork and pan fried them first. Removed and cooked sliced onions for a few minutes with salt added. Returned sliced pork with sauce containing:
    – Soy sauce
    – Mirin
    – Lots of minced ginger (I wish I added even more)
    – Sugar

    Turned out to be more simple than I thought, I wish I also added some dark soy sauce for color and the ginger works awesome in this for giving pork the extra flavor.

    I have a question. Doesn’t the food especially the vege taste weird on day 4 onwards. Also don’t you get bored eating the same thing for the whole week? I can only do 3 days for now.
