  1. Objectively the fat cap is unrendered. Objectively most people use the term “raw” to mean any doneness under what they like. Subjectively this person thinks this was undercooked.

Cook food for the people consuming it, not for you.

  2. Rolex_throwaway

It’s not literally raw, but it’s pretty rare.

I’d eat it but I probably could have been left on for another minute or 2

  4. Reddit_killed_RIF

Very rare. Most people wouldn’t go for it

  5. highly_aware

Rare with minimal fat rendering. I’d eat it for sure! However, most like it a bit more done in my experience. I think a lot of people are uneducated and consider pink “medium rare”

Did you like it? Is this how you like your steak? Any other opinion is irrelevant

  7. Pinkocommiebikerider

    That is chicken.

See? Anyone can say dumb shit.

  8. Used-Tomato-8393

That’s pretty significantly rare. Not raw by any stretch though

  9. It’s not rare but the fat on that top piece needs a touch more heat

I’m downvoting every one of these posts. This is low effort nonsense.

What temp did you sous vide this bad boy at?

  12. BetaPositiveSCI

Extra rare but I happen to like that so fine by me

The fat cap isn’t rendered. Also the white connective tissue should break down.

But it’s your food. Eat it how you’d like.

  14. AnAmbitiousMann

I feel like with strips, it needs to get blasted with heat a bit more so it’s nice and rendered.

  15. Late-Examination7111

Damn near perfect, just flip to the fat cap and sear it bit until it renders.

  16. HiZenBergh

Is it just me? Or does that look like a small mummified body

I like my steak like this, I’d definitely eat it…maybe render that fat edge tho

  18. ryannvondoom

I’ll take “Things that people who are no longer welcome in my home would say,” for 500$, Alex.

  19. picklerick1029

That sear looks pretty solid I’d take the time to render that little bit of fat on the side but I prefer mine cooked blue rare this is good

Not raw but also not done enough for my liking. Different strokes
