Were any of you lucky enough to try these? They were before my time (1975-1984)

    Early ’90s, during college, a friend of mine worked at a McD’s near his school that was a test-market for these, and at that time, they extrapolated from the test market, that not enough onions could be grown in North America in order to roll it out nationally.

    Not these, but I remember getting stoked when Burger King had onion rings… they were those rings of batter with onion powder and minced onion inside. LET DOWN. Always wondered if this was a similar thing.

  5. I never had them, but my dad and grandma both said they are very similar to the onion chips from White Castle.

    I’ve never had these, but there’s a restaurant close to me that does onion bites, and they are just the little onions battered and fried up like onion rings. So good.

    Does anybody remember when Jack-in-the-Box had frings? French fries and onion rings together.
