This might be the dirtiest most disgusting thing I seen. I bought this Masterbuilt Gravity Chatcoal Smoker 1050 for $150. It works but all the grime is very hard to get out. I got a cleaning spray and using dish soap but not super effective.

Try using ez off oven cleaner. Make sure you wear a mask and gloves.
Seal off any electronics and hit it with a pressure washer.
Get some purple power industrial strength degreaser concentrate and go to town. Then food safe stuff after the grease is gone
Brake cleaner and a wire brush
Putty knife and abrasive drill brushes
Pressure washer is a must
