I have been prepping for summer. Hungry kids will be home and I work from home. It is always a hassle and I end up ordering food. I also made a batch of dal and froze it the other day. We are vegetarians , what else can I prep ? Please advice.

Oh by the way , that is chana masala (Indian curry) in the picture.

There are many recipes but this the simplest one I have been using.
Boil two cups chana in a pressure cooker (6 whistles)
Sauté finely cut one onion , two tomatoes, ginger garlic paste.
Add salt , red chili powder and chana masala.
Take one fourth or more of cooked chana and grind it into a fine paste.
Add this paste to the sauted onion mixture.
After this cooks, add the cooked whole chana and bring it to one more boil.
Done. Add cilantro or coriander if you like.

Tomato soup freezes really well if it’s dairy free. If you accept/want dairy, add it the day you serve it. Heat that up and throw together some simple grilled cheese sandwiches.

So many pasta dishes. Lasagna, ziti, etc. Bean burritos. Start the week with prepped lunchables.
