Nose: Blackcurrants and plum, light oak, earthy notes of mushroom and damp soil, with a subtle hint of red chili spice and a very slight savory undertone, maybe soy sauce? – can’t really grasp what it is.
Palate: Restrained yet fruit-forward, with powerful dark fruit flavors. Tannins were initially firm but toned down after 1.5 hrs. Long and nice finish with lingering fruit and some pleasant bitterness.

Do you find Pontet Canet appropriately priced?
Pauillac the undisputed goat
Love Pontet-Canet! Had a few different vintages and thoroughly enjoyed them all.
