Ingredients
For Green Sauce:
½ cup fresh coriander
½ cup fresh mint
2-3 green chilies
2 cloves garlic
½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
½ cup yogurt
For Tamarind Sauce:
½ cup tamarind (imli)
1 cup hot water
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
½ tsp chili flakes
½ tsp chaat masala
½ tsp red chili powder
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
For Chaat:
1½ cup boiled chickpeas
1 boiled potato (cubed)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 green chili (chopped)
2 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
½ cup yogurt
Green sauce (as per taste)
Tamarind sauce (as per taste)
Instructions
1. Prepare Green Sauce: Blend coriander, mint, green chilies, garlic, and salt into a smooth paste. Mix with yogurt and set aside.
2. Prepare Tamarind Sauce: Soak tamarind in hot water for 10 minutes, remove seeds, and mash well. Add cumin powder, sugar, chili flakes, chaat masala, red chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
3. Prepare Chaat: In a bowl, combine boiled chickpeas, potatoes, onions, green chili, and fresh coriander. Add yogurt and mix well.
4. Add Sauces: Pour green sauce and tamarind sauce over the mixture. Mix everything well.
5. Garnish & Serve: Optionally, garnish with sev, pomegranate seeds, or more coriander. Serve immediately!
