    I wouldn’t.
As a point of reference I bought a large Big Green Egg on marketplace for $100 US. I had to replace the hinges and the metal grates inside plus new seals. It cost me about $200. So for $300 I got a Large big green egg that looks like new minus a couple little cosmetic nicks.

If I didn’t have to replace the hinges it would’ve been $150.

    Look on marketplace.

    Good luck.

Personally no. Half price feels like a pretty terrible discount for a crack. Id pay maybe 10% of RRP or something as I’d expect that crack to get bigger so that 10% would be all I’d gamble to lose

The firebox inside is the sacrificial part of the unit and you can replace it. The outside shell is something all together different. If that cracks open during a cook, you’ll have hot coals to deal with. If that’s cracked, it’s a hard pass.

Don’t risk it. You will find I one cheap that isn’t cracked if you keep looking

I just took out mine and after cooking ribs i couldn‘t lower the temp, a disaster couldn’t get below 160c. Even closing all holes… found afterward that for some reasons got a small crack in the bottom is it possible to patch the crack with something?
