Canada-based chain Edo Japan recently made its U.S. debut in Chandler with sister concept Edo Japanese Grill.
The first Edo Japan opened in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in 1979. Since then, the chain has expanded to over 200 locations in Canada. The Chandler store marks the brand’s first foray into the U.S. market.
The restaurant specializes in fresh teppanyaki-style meals cooked on a 450-degree F teppan grill. Edo Japanese Grill’s menu comprises its signature shaved beef and teriyaki chicken bowls, yakisoba noodles, Tokyo fried chicken, poke bowls, sushi rolls, customizable bento boxes and boba tea.

Edo Japanese Grill opened in Chandler in February 2025.
The restaurant will host an official grand opening celebration on March 15, featuring $4.50 teriyaki bowls all day long.
