The West Coast-based parent company of Greek food-focused restaurant chain Nick The Greek plans to open at downtown’s Nashville Yards in late spring — the concept’s first location east of the Mississippi River.
According to a release, this will be the brand’s first restaurant in Tennessee and among the first restaurants to open at Nashville Yards. Nick The Greek will be located in the Nashville Yards mixed-use building to be anchored by Creative Artists Agency and to include a multi-screen cineplex (read here).

Founded in 2014 by cousins Big Nick, Little Nick and Baby Nick Tsigaris (all named after their grandfather) and headquartered in San Jose, Calif., Nick The Greek bills itself as a fast casual Mediterranean cuisine restaurant specializing in gyros and souvlaki. The menu also features pita, hummus, basmati rice, falafel, salads, rotisserie meats and charbroiled skewers.
Nick The Greek locations are found in Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Utah, in addition to California.
Lease terms with Nashville Yards co-developers Southwest Value Partners and AEG are not being disclosed.
“We are excited to bring a fresh, authentic Greek restaurant experience to Nashville Yards,” Cary Mack, managing partner, Southwest Value Partners, said in the release.
“Nick The Greek is going to be great for a healthy lunch, dinner on the way home, or a late-night stop after a show, and we are pleased to welcome them to Nashville Yards.”
The Nick The Greek owners were represented in lease negotiations by Kevin Trujillo and Michael Galpin of Baker Story McDonald.
