10 years clean and sober today. Shit was hard af to go cold turkey and give up powder and vodka but worth it and my career has only went up since I made this change. I also got my family and myself back which is the most important thing.

  1. Congratulations! I hit 8 years last month and my life has only gotten better. It’s so hard at first but so worth it!

Well done. Sadly I’ve seen too many good cooks drink themselves back to the sink, or worse. Right on mate.

Good for you! Six years here and life is so much better.

I struggle with sobriety myself. It sucks having to do it!

Good on ya bro. Shit ain’t easy but it’s worth every step, every battle,  every breath to have your life back. One of the best parts is no more hangovers no more being dope sick etc. Keep at it man. Give your family the man they deserve.

  8. What’s the best piece of advice you could give someone attempting the same?

    Damn, you’re looking fine, man!

I hope you are really proud of yourself. Addiction is the hardest thing to combat; the struggle is ongoing, and it takes great strength and commitment to walk the path, every day. And you’ve committed, and fought, and have been very strong. You deserve all the best this life offers. Congratulations on this accomplishment!

Congratulations and I’m proud of you. But I’ve never understood how people get heavy through drug and alcohol use. I drink and smoke too much and I struggle to gain healthy weight because I shit everything out.

Well done! I’m on the same journey. It’s hard cuz I’ve been hitting the booze hard the past decade.

  12. Looking good homie 👌👏 a little over one month myself, hope to be where you are at some point 🤞

Quit smoking weed 2 years ago. Best thing I’ve done in a long time. Needed to see something positive after tonight

Congrats!!! I quit while I was working in a bar kitchen and spent the first few years of my sobriety cooking before I ended up leaving the industry. Hard as rocks.
