Aroma: Very, very clean smell, stone fruit (peach)
First sip: Delicious! Stone fruit continues. Very similar to good Mosel Auslese Trocken or GG.
First glass: Nice full body, good acidity. 14% a very good sign on such a wine in my opinion. Some spice with the salmon and cheese.
Second glass: Both modest yet robust. Good fruitiness and spiciness continue. Good with the caviar.
Summary: For the price I think this beats most competing Mosels – drinks more like a $70 Riesling than $45. I’m waiting until I’m done with the caviar and salmon before trying Roquefort with it so I can’t comment on that combination.

bleu cheese and Riesling can rarely be topped. We had some creamy gorgonzola and Donnhoff Eiswein last weekend and it was incredible as always.

You must be a person of good taste, Norwegian cheese.. But how was that Aberlour in the background? I’ve only bought the 12 year old.
