February 20, 2025 – Star Wine List will celebrate the best wine lists in Germany at an awards ceremony on 17 March 2025, at ProWein in Düsseldorf.

The Star Wine List of the Year competition recognises the world’s greatest wine lists – and the teams behind them. The German entries were judged by a panel of four top international sommeliers: Jan Konetzki, Emmanuel Rosier, Pascaline Lepeltier and Stefan Neumann MS.

The judges have announced a total of 45 finalists, from across the country, in 11 categories. Winners will receive a Gold Star and those in the international categories will go on to compete in the Star Wine List of the Year International Final, which will be held in Vienna on 16 June.

“We are super excited to come back to Germany and celebrate with the brilliant sommeliers and teams from the top restaurants in the country,” says Krister Bengtsson, Founder and Publisher of Star Wine List. “There is such a diversity and quality in the gastronomy of Germany and we can’t wait to highlight that together in Düsseldorf in March.”
