Uhm…. calling this a pizza is definitely a crime.

That aside … apples, figs, what’s the “sauce” looks similar to the layers of nuts in things like baklava.

  2. XanderTheMeh

It’s not really pizza, but it looks delicious

  3. leesharon1985

Well people do have the tendency of being fools. So there’s also that.

  4. I’d argue that’s a manakeesh (other spellings are available)
Is it a crime? No. But is it a pizza?

  5. Lapcat420

Considering how close they are to Italy this is brutal.

It’s food, but it definitely ain’t pizza.

  6. This looks intriguing. I’m withholding judgement due to lack of evidence

  7. AsleepInteraction882

Yea this is definitely a pizza crime, straight to jail with this one.

  8. irascible_Clown

I’d call that a tart before I call it a pizza

  9. sweetrottenapple

It is not a pizza so it is not a pizza crime. I’d try it! Looks absolutely delicious 👌

I’ve been to Lebanon thrice and ain’t ever seen shit like this. Their pizza is just pizza bruh

Edit: I am fully aware of what pizza za’atar is having had it multiple times and my friends the authentic one is not comparable whatever this is

  11. trunkspop

def not a crime and prob way more accurate as to how pizza was originally made baked in the sun on the shield of a soldier

what’s the base made of ? za’tar and olive oil ? I could enjoy a “libanese pizza” but if the base was humus with some chunks of kebab instead of cucumbers and no olives (or at least smaller bits) and little bit of za’tar on top. But this looks like a crime to libanese cuisine aswell lmao.

You think Lebanese people post pictures of Hawaiian pizza with the caption “this is considered pizza in America

  14. I’m pretty sure this isn’t pizza, it’s manakesh or however it’s spelled. It is quite delicious, but I’ve never had it with these toppings. I’d eat the shit out of that

  15. Looks like something a vegan would make and feel sad eating cause it’s not real pizza

  16. LeadingStatus6716

Yeah this is absolutely manaeesh. I’m not Lebanese, but Palestinian, so super similar culture and food. Whoever served this to OP probably tried to anglicize the name and decided on Pizza

  17. Flimsy_Function3312

Not a pizza, this is considered a breakfast or brunch food

  18. LifeLikeAGrapefruit

I’ve had these Lebanese flatbreads before and they’re delicious. More importantly, they’re not pizzas.

I make a motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction.

  19. MadMaxBeyondThunder

But on Atlantic Avenue it is recommended.

  20. odiin1731

OP is guilty for trying to misrepresent what this is. This would be like posting a chicken caesar wrap and claim that it’s trying to be a burrito.

  21. Walk me through what this is cause I wanna fuck it up.

  22. adnaneely

I’d hit zaatar pizza from Lebanon add some cheese habibi though…but if it’s from the culture vulture next door I’m not hitting it.

  23. Unlucky-tracer

Not pizza, and not a crime. Your honor, prosecution is requesting that OP be charged with falsifying testimony.

  24. ForeverBoner215

People here post photos of hard shell tacos and ask “Is this a pizza crime?” 🙄

  25. Final_Requirement561

You can keep it in Lebanon too 🤢

  26. Own-Fold1917

Mmmmm, garden soil on flatbread with the decomposing fruits of my garden with cut up cucumber to add a hint of freshness. They shouldn’t have. 😍
