Almost through my 42-loaf bakeday and thought I’d share my ultra cheap blade holder


Pretty self explanatory, but we have a LOT of used canning rings/lids so I decided to give new life to one!
The rubber bands act as a nice grip and the gasket from the canning lid helps to keep the blade in place. Can also easily adjust the blade angle/depth.

Big bonus is the joy of clicking the lid satisfying my need to fidget

    I love this! I have a small one and my hand cramps trying to hold it. This would be easier.

    I make great loaves, but I really, really wish my dough would hold shape like that prior to going into the Dutch oven.

    How is your dough firm like that? Do you pop it in the freezer before doing this???

    While I appreciate the innovative spirit, mine was only $7 on Amazon. Personally I wouldn’t risk that blade breaking free and slicing through a finger ☻

    love the ingenuity though I might do something similar cause it’s just safer ngl …. & as long as it does what it’s supposed to do…🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
