Ingredients:

Almond cookies :
Ground almonds – 200g
Caster sugar – 100g
Egg whites – 2
Almond extract – 1/2 tsp
Powdered sugar for dusting
Orange zest – 1tbsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Almond flakes – 80g

  1. Why did my batter come too liquidy even with the correct measurements. It was too difficult to form into balls.

  2. I usually roll the formed cookie ball into an egg white first before I roll it into the almond slices – this way the almonds stick better on contact. Those cookies are kind of big, but look delicious of course.

  4. These are my favorite and I used to make them a lot but my granddaughter has a tree nut allergy so I had to quit. I made them again about two months ago and while I made larger cookies it was a sticky mess. We do have an excellent Italian bakery but they are pricey! I will make them again but only in a large batch and freeze them.

  5. Hi I tried your recipe and everything step by step but it was very loose and sticky I add more almond powder didn’t change then I add two spoons of rice flour until I could roll It a bit better can you pls tell me what I did wrong
