Very illegal. Ill just have to take the tri tip as a penalty

  2. Nailed it. Love how the rice is so white it’s peaked in the image 😂

  3. It counts. You can cook it in the same way and it tastes fantastic. Grilled two last night to precisely zero complains from the kids lol.

That looks perfect. What was your process?

Any large ish piece of beef grilled to perfection is a steak to me. Looks great!

  6. I mean, you can make tri-tip steaks out of. Also, tri-tips are pure slick titties

Cook it a lot and is perfect for 2. My local butcher has them routinely vac sealed and frozen. Have 6 in my freezer.

How was the tenderness? Was a little tough?

Nice one. Pretentious post but nice tri tip.

Tri-tip is steak if that’s how you butcher it, and it’s great.

    General def:

    > a thick, flat piece of meat or fish, especially meat from a cow

So what do you mean that it’s not a steak???

As a Santa Barbara County native, I’ll allow it.

Tritip absolutely a steak, cooked with the same methods as steaks.

One of my favorite cuts! Used to be so cheap and hard to find in the 90’s, my first career!

I will accept it. Only because it’s still bleeding.

Rule #3 has it covered and you didn’t braise it like pot roast… thankfully. Looks nice

  17. I love how perfectly thin you sliced it, the cook is amazing

  18. Finally, someone on this sub with an actual sharp knife
