Best French Restaurant in Dubai 2025

WINNER

La Petie Maison Dubai

A global giant when it comes to French dining, LPM remains one of the most brilliant French restaurants in Dubai. Whether you’re looking for a business lunch, an anniversary dinner or catch-up with friends, the time is always right for a meal at LPM.

Found in DIFC, there’s a sophisticated vibe to match the delicious dishes made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is always buzzing – grab a drink at the bar too – while the plates will have you dreaming of when you can return.

The lamb chops are a highlight, we’ve waxed lyrical about the potato gratin for many a year and those snails, well, they’re a gloriously garlicky must-try.

Highly commended

L’Atelier Robuchon

For French food-lovers this restaurant from the late great Joël Robuchon is a must-visit. Found in DIFC there’s a cool vibe, which gets livelier as the night goes on. It recently underwent a revamp and it’s even better than ever – hence earning itself Time Out Dubai’s Best French Restaurant Award for 2024.

On the menu there’s everything from beef tartare to scallops Saint-Jaques, cheese soufflé and lamb chops, to Asian-inspired dishes such as black cod and tuna tartare. There’s a tasting menu and business lunch too, so whether you’re short on time or looking to splash out there’s an option to suit, making the best French restaurant in Dubai right now.

La Cantine du Faubourg

If you like a trendy vibe paired with excellent food, La Cantine du Faubourg is a brilliant choice. This super-cool spot at Jumeirah Emirates Towers is not only a go-to place for party people, it’s also one of the best French restaurants in Dubai.

In winter the terrace is a charming place to sit, full of twinkling lights and DIFC views, while indoors there’s a lively-chic lounge vibe that stays buzzing into the early hours.

Hailing from Paris there’s a stellar menu to taste your way through, with our top picks being the tuna ceviche, honey-glazed beef short ribs and the nostalgic ‘les coquillettes de mon enfance’ (a truffly, cheesy pasta dream).

Shortlisted

Couqley French Brasserie

Credit: Couqley French Brasserie

One of the best – and most affordable – French restaurants in Dubai, Couqley in Business Bay is a delightful spot for a Parisian-style meal. The menu boasts all the French classics – beef tartare, tuna tartare, moules frites and an excellent steak frites, swimming with a glorious signature steak sauce.

Veggies are not left out here though, as there’s a top-notch cheese plate, as well as pappardelle aux champignons et truffes, burrata salad and one of the tastiest sides in town – grilled Portobello with Parmesan. With plenty of deals and relaxed vibe, there’s a lot to like about Couqley.

Eugène Eugène

Credit: Eugène Eugène

A French restaurant from the team behind La Cantine du Faubourg, Eugène Eugène opened in 2023 and has made plenty of noise ever since.

The gorgeous terrace is one of its most talked about features – with swathes of foliage, red leather banquettes and hints of gold – at the perhaps surprising location at Mall of the Emirates.

When it comes to food, all the excellent classics are there, with a modern touch, think oysters, foie gras terrine, veal bone marrow, cordon bleu and apple tart.

Josette

Pretty-as-a-picture, this French restaurant in DIFC is all marshmallow pinks and swathes of green velvet. With a cute restaurant bar, complete with a press for bubbly button on tables, there’s plenty of kitsch touches at Josette.

But it works well and has a loyal following, with plenty of offerings including brunch, afternoon tea, lunch and even dinner shows to draw in the crowds. When it comes to food, there’s a twist on classics – think escargot with almond butter – as well as authentic French onion soup, boeuf Bourguignon, cordon bleu and coquilles Saint-Jacques poêlés. The pastries and croissants are marvellously buttery and moreish, too.

La Promenade

Credit: La Promenade

You might have known it previously as French Riviera, but La Promenade at Jumeirah Al Qasr brings with it a renewed focus on traditional French cuisine along with those beautiful beachside feels.

Think beef tartare, French onion soup, escargots in white garlic butter, onion tarte tatin, ratatouille, beef tenderloin Rossini and Dover Sole Meunière-style. Chef Remy Marquignon’s seven-course degustation menu is well worth a try, finishing with an exceptional chocolate tarte soufflé.

Classic dishes, all beautifully presented and served up in elegant yet chilled-out surroundings, especially if you dine poolside under the palm trees.

Pierre’s TT

One of the best French restaurants in town is Pierre’s TT, a modern bistro by renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire.

The menu has evolved over the past year or so, with dishes more experimental than before, but it’s retained that focus on authentic French delicacies.

From the subtle sweet yet briny creaminess of the sea urchin chantilly to the rich earthy wallop of the melanosporum black truffle spaghetti, you can be confident that every ingredient here is sourced and combined with great care.

STAY by Yannick Alléno

Credit: STAY by Yannick Alléno

For premium French fine dining, and a spectacular tasting menu, STAY by acclaimed chef Yannick Alléno is the one for a special occasion meal.

Head here in winter to sit out on the terrace for the best experience and enjoy the chic vibe of the exclusive One&Only The Palm. Service is spot-on and the dishes are gloriously well put together, using delicious ingredients and carefully crafted ideas.

If you’re looking for your next anniversary meal and enjoy a fine dining setting STAY is one of the best French restaurants in Dubai.

Tête-à-Tête

Most of Dubai’s best French restaurants have been on the circuit for many years, so it’s particularly pleasing when a newcomer brings with it a certain ‘joie de vivre’.

Tête-à-Tête is unashamedly lavish, with a striking open kitchen, a canopy of lavender adorning the ceiling and a jewellery box inspired bar set within a Baroque-style glass room.

The food is pretty classic French Riviera-style fodder that’ll have you salivating from the get-go, from the veal Milanese to the barbecue whole squid. A good choice for date night when you want a touch of glam.
