This is the red sauce from a local taqueria. It’s relatively thin, not especially spicy, and doesn’t taste like it has any sour/vinegar notes. It has more of a smokey, salty, garlic flavor, but there’s definitely a mystery pepper in there. What do you very smart salsa experts think it could be made with?
