My father asked me to grill a skirt steak on his gas grill. I usually work with a pan. Hope I did OK.

Looks good, but now your father’s not going to let you go home

I think you did a spectacular job, good crust and not overdone, which is so easy for skirt steak on a grill.
Super job. Thanks for sharing your beef with us.

  3. I like that little
Divot on the cutting board to catch the juices

my man. You made your dad proud in that moment with that steak.

  6. It looks horrible OP. Truly one of the worst grillings of a steak I’ve ever seen. Please do not eat this; instead, vac-seal it, ship it to me, and I will dispose of it on your behalf – free of charge!

For those who say I definitely know I did well, I seriously didn’t. Sorry if that comes off as annoying. I usually have a bit more separation between the crust and the middle. And I didn’t really know how to do that on a grill. I just turned all the dials way up at the end and opened the lid. I see so many steaks on here that are amazing, so I figured I’d finally post one and thought why not do it with one I wasn’t sure about.

I wouldn’t take you off the Christmas card list for that.

The cook on this steak is no good 😐

    Because I can’t eat it. 🤤

Now take your dad’s gas grill home. Just joking. Get a gas grill.

It *looks* great. I’ll bet it tastes… just a little bit off, like everything else from an open, natural gas flame.

  12. What kind of grill does your dad have to yield a crust that well? Was this done on the main burner or was there a searing station that you used?
