ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A new destination for gyros, kebab platters and other Mediterranean favorites is set to open soon in Lehigh County.

Blazing Hot Halal Grill, a fast-casual restaurant offering made-from-scratch Mediterranean and American dishes, is expected to open within the next few weeks at 1442 W. Tilghman St. in Allentown, co-owner Samier Noory said.

The eatery, with seating for around 40 guests, will offer a wide array of freshly prepared items, including gyros such as chicken, lamb and mix.

Other menu highlights will include kebab platters such as adana, chicken and lamb over rice, and various protein over fries platters.

“We’ll have different sauces available, like white sauce, hot sauce and green sauce,” Noory said.

Customers also will be able to enjoy American staples such as burgers, cheesesteaks and wings, Noory said.

Noory is operating Blazing Hot with his partner, Salem Noori.

The restaurant, at 15th and Tilghman streets, will occupy a renovated building that was previously home to a Lukoil gas station and convenience store.

Improvements include new flooring, ceilings, dry wall, counters, kitchen equipment and bathrooms, among other upgrades.

The partners are waiting on a few final inspections before they open the doors to customers.

“Our hope is to open before January, but we’ll definitely be opening in January at the latest,” Noory said.
