Great article. Love Austrian wine but can hardly ever buy it in the UK. St Laurent, Neuberger and the whole PiWi movement are unknown here.

Great concept, and excellent write-up!
Now, you mentioned few knew anything much about Austrian wine – makes sense, it is Paris, not much of an import market. And I see you had a very interesting mix of wineries, from very established more conventional wineries to bright-eyed and bushy-tailed newcomers. Because of the general absence of familiarity in the market I can see how presenting all wineries and styles on an even playing field was straightforward but – *how would you approach it differently in a market more familiar, perhaps with people who have heard of one or two of the winery names*?

I’m running a wine bar in Kyiv, Ukraine and we have a very strong Austrian offering — Tschida, Zillinger, Pressinger, from time to time some stuff from Gindel and Munster family. Also Loimer bottles for more basic wines by glass (however their extra brut sekts are pretty rad!).
