If you’ve been eating a lot of fast food there’s a good chance your “bad” cholesterol will be very high. It’d be a good idea to limit your consumption of red meat (shocking on this sub, I know!) and try to cook with extra virgin olive oil – just be aware you won’t be able to get a good sear with EV Olive Oil as it has a low smoke point. Eat lots of fish and chicken (obv not deep fried!).

Wholewheat/wholegrain bread and pasta will be good. Apples are great for you too, so you’re in luck there!

But good for you for taking care of your diet, you’ll do yourself a lot of good!

Jealous. If I could afford it I would do the same.

Nothing beats steak and eggs! Looks great!!

Noooo you are supposed to eat processed food all your life. How will big pharma make money now?

That looks absolutely delicious. Nice work on breakfast and at life!

  6. If you have an air fryer, broccoli, brussel sprouts and asparagus can be cooked nice and crispy in there effortlessly. you can also pan fry or bake them to similar effect but air fryer would be best to avoid mushy.

Congrats. I’m in a similar boat and I’ve been eating like shit for the past few years with soda daily and fast food nearly daily. I’m 3 weeks into a diet and down 13 pounds. Hard to commit to making the change but it’s rewarding to see the weight disappear so quickly by simply eating healthy.

That’s what I want to eat every day right there

One step at a time pal! The steak looks great by the way!

Might be a bit of a step for you here, and I apologize if im wrong or coming off condescending, certainly not my intention. But have you ever had tuna? From the way your steak looks, I’d bet you’d kill it. I always refer to it as the “steak” of fish haha and if you’re looking to lose some weight, fish is great. I’ve recently lost about 30 lbs over the last year and a half, been eating a lot of fish…

Anyway, congratulations on both the steak and the weight loss!

That looks so damn good. I’d want some avocado too for some extra good fats

Good job on the protein, now add some vegetables, especially leafy greens ( not iceberg even though it’s yummy), kale, spinach, etc. Then add some good fiber, squash, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.
    You got this!

Look at the sodium levels in fast food. If you haven’t been to a doctor in awhile I would probably go and get checked out, explain what you’ve been eating for how long. A heavy fast food diet is a sure path to heart disease and various other issues.

You have ARFID. I cannot imagine living with that kind of sensitivity. I have a feeling you just have to keep eating normal food and you will grow accustomed to it.

  14. It’s more expensive but dehydrated fruit/veggie chips are a life saver for me when texture sensitivity acts up. Very consistent, good taste, and they don’t get mushy or have random different textures

Great decision. Your body will thank you. However, I want to point out that most of the weight you lost cannot be fat, since 20lb of fat would be 68,000 kcal.

have you tried cooking the vegetables for less time? They’re better for fibre and lose less nutrients when you don’t boil em into mush. Crunchy broccoli and carrots kick ass
