Looks like they probably cooked it from Frozen or something, because the inside is blue, and they definitely overcooked the outside. Not a good looking gradient, & it looks poorly prepped/cooked.

This is why I just cook my steaks at home. That looks vaguely like a tuna steak should be cooked but certainly not a beef steak. What an atrocity.

Yeah I say so deffo, 33 years as a chef remove the horns and wipe it’s arse. Some once asked me for a tartar then sent it back saying it was raw lol he was trying to impress a woman who probably never saw him again. I had to go out and tell if he wanted a cooked meal why order that dish, he paid for it never touched it and made a fool of himself. Lol he just ate the side plate of veggies 😂😂

Super thick grey band followed by rare does not make medium rare.
That steak looks like a piece of seared ahi tuna. They cooked it too fast at a high temp. Or the meat was cooked right from the fridge. Either way, i would not accept that steak. It’s not what you ordered

I wouldn’t just send it back – I’d send it back and change my order. It’s one thing to send out an undercooked steak, it’s something else to send out a *sliced* undercooked steak. The kitchen could see their mistake!
