Celebrating art, culture, and life, The Orange Art & Book Cafe in Aundh, Pune, in collaboration with Alliance Française de Pune, has announced the launch of the ‘Ciné Café Sessions’. This cultural initiative strives to blend the allure of French cinema with the aroma of gourmet coffee, offering an evening of cinematic and foodie delights.
Scheduled for Tuesday, June 25th at 8:00 PM, the inaugural screening will feature François Truffaut’s “The 400 Blows,” marking the beginning of a series that aims to bring in film enthusiasts and present them with the best of French New Wave cinema. This timeless masterpiece of the French New Wave movement captures the essence of adolescent rebellion with poignant storytelling and has been celebrated worldwide.
“We want to make acclaimed films from all over the world accessible to the Pune audience,” says Sumedh Sarojini, owner of The Orange, Art and Book Cafe. “A film enthusiast from Maharashtra may not have seen a lot of films from… let’s say, Kerala. And you find such lovely films there! This is just the beginning, we plan to have Iranian films in the future as well. We strive to bring cultural diversity here at The Orange”.
Whether you are a cinephile, a connoisseur of gourmet coffee, or simply someone seeking a unique cultural experience, Ciné Café Sessions assures an evening of cinematic excellence and culinary delights, Sarojni said.
