Should I make a pan sauce for the hot dog fond

    fr though deglaze with something sweet like Dr Pepper and build a sauce, maybe a little crushed red pepper, some garlic and onion powder. Mount it with a little cold butter at the end and 🧑‍🍳 💋 

  5. You really should have boiled one in a small amount of water and used that to deglaze. 🤤

    Executive chef here. If you wanna try a deglaze non-ironically:

    – Deglaze with beer. Maybe a 1/4 cup of a lager or ale.

    – Dijon mustard (you can use yellow if you don’t have Dijon. Use less. But I imagine it wouldn’t be great, in my mind’s eye’s tongue. Not bad. But not great either).

    – Brown sugar or maple syrup

    – A splash of apple cider vinegar. Use lemon juice if you don’t have ACV.

    – mount with a small knob of butter off heat and gently stir (off heat) until velvety.

    – a pinch of salt

    Do everything to taste.

    It’s actually good!

    deglaze with the water that comes out of the ketchup bottle add a bit of mayo and thicken with cold butter.
