On the recommendation of /u/Motor_Telephone8595 I went to Doughnut Vault nice and early this Sunday morning for the chocolate chip pancake Sunday special. The doughnut was wonderfully crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, excellent textural contrast. The outside was a maple syrup glaze with chiclatre chips. I can see why it's one of his favorites!
Also pictured is the other Sunday special, the strawberry filled with chocolate glaze. It's what you want a chocolate strawberry to be.
It might be too late but I definitely recommend getting the chocolate chip pancake next time it's on special. Thanks /u/Motor_Telephone8595, bummed I missed you but your other coworkers were friendly, quick, and helpful.
