After eight years in London, top chef Anne-Sophie Pics’s two-Michelin-star restaurant close its doors in mid-February. Located in the Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge, La Dame de Pic has thus far stood out as of the best addresses for fine French cuisine in the British capital.
In a joint announcement, Groupe Pic and the hotel declared that they were ending their partnership. “We are incredibly proud of the culinary experience we have created at La Dame de Pic,” it says. “Our thanks go to our guests, our team and all our partners who have supported us over the years.”
“It’s been a wonderful three years”
The restaurant opened in 2017 as Anne-Sophie Pic’s first branch in the UK. Just one year later, it received its first Michelin star, followed by a second in 2020, with the guide emphasizing the sophisticated flavor combinations that Pic masterfully uses in her cooking. In addition, Pic’s London branch won several other awards over its lifetime – most recently, it was honored with four AA Rosettes in 2024, an award for culinary excellence in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
La Dame de Pic London’s most recent head chef was Evens López, who previously worked under three-star chef Yannick Alléno. “It’s been a wonderful three years,” said López, looking back at her tenure on the Thames. “Now I’m taking some time to think about what comes next.”
Anne-Sophie Pic is one of the most highly decorated chefs in the world. Her flagship restaurant, Maison Pic in Valence, France, has boasted three Michelin stars for decades, and she runs additional restaurants in Switzerland and Singapore. The departure of La Dame de Pic London marks the end of an era – not only for the beloved French chef, but also for London’s fine dining scene. Anyone who would like to experience Pic’s culinary philosophy for themselves without leaving the UK can still to do so until February 15.
