
Nick’s Bistro is proud to re-open after a 3-week closure due to Covid-19. It was a difficult decision for owners Alfred and Mario to close temporarily, but felt it was the right thing to do to protect the staff and the community. Now they have re-opened for the same reasons: to support the staff and serve the Forest Hills community that is sheltering in place for the good of New Yorkers.

While you cannot dine in, you can call in your order for pick-up or delivery to your home or office. The chefs at Nick’s Bistro will be happy to prepare a take-home Mother’s Day Feast for you to celebrate this upcoming weekend. Don’t forget Mother’s Day is May 10th so set a pretty table with flowers and get curbside delivery by gloved staff right to your car.
Nick’s Bistro’s menu promises “A Taste of Greece in Every Bite” and they mean it. Start your meal with some of their tempting appetizers such as classic dolmades which are Greek style stuffed grape leaves, made from scratch and filled with rice and meat, served warm and savory ($10.50). Cypriot style meatballs called keftedes are perfect for sharing along with Quinoa falafel, a modern twist on a Mediterranean snack, served with creamy tzatziki yogurt sauce. Your family will love an assortment of Greek dips including eggplant dip, caviar dip, and spicy cheese dip called tirokafteri. Your order comes with warm, grilled pita bread for scooping. Nick’s crab cakes make any meal special, full of sweet crabmeat and crispy breading, served with remoulade sauce, and the grilled calamari and grilled octopus are out-of-this-world delicious with juices to be soaked up with warm bread. Of course you’ll need a large Greek salad, Caesar salad, or beet salad for everyone at the table.
Make Mother’s Day or any day special with Nick’s Bistro entrées. You will find something for every taste including fish and seafood dishes, meats, pasta dishes, and some vegetarian options as well. Their Colorado lamb chops are tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, as are the lamb kebabs, chicken, pork, or filet mignon kebabs, laced with fresh peppers and onions, served with your favorite side dish. Treat yourself to a juicy Cowboy cut Ribeye steak with fries. Lemon Ouzo Chicken sautéed with a light, lemony sauce is a house favorite, as is the Shrimp Saganaki with tomato, herbs, and creamy feta cheese. Wild, grilled salmon over Greek salad is a light and healthy dish that’s great for dinner or lunch.
Nick’s has great pasta too, such as black linguine mixed with shrimp, calamari, mussels and scallops in a tomato sauce with a touch of ouzo for extra flavor. Lobster ravioli are delicately cooked and topped with a light pink sauce while Thalassini Fota is linguini with shrimp, scallops, calamari, and mussels topped with spicy tomato sauce.
Working from home? Order lunch from Nick’s Bistro with its wide variety of hot-pressed sandwiches layered with grilled chicken, bacon, mozzarella and pesto, Quinoa falafel wrap, or the Cuban sandwich made with pork loin, Swiss cheese and pickle. Burgers are made from the best quality beef; they also serve Quinoa veggie burgers, crab cake burgers, or turkey burgers. Gyros and souvlaki round out the lunch menu along with their freshly tossed salads.
