There are edible orchids. Source my work uses them for presentation in boats and trays.

Orchid, it can be eaten (not all varietals) but it’s not good and in this application probably not meant to be eaten.

As others have stated it is an orchid. As long as they are grown for the purpose of being used around or for food then it is fine to eat them. Do not go eating random orchids as they could be sprayed with things that are not safe to consume when grown for ornamental purposes. In the past I have ordered food use orchids to use on cupcakes.

I’ve seen orchids on foods and in my drinks, but never once thought to consume them. Out of curiosity, what do they taste like? I’ll be sure to try it next time!
