Im trying to replace my heat shield brackets but the screws/bolts are rusted. Cant grip them with socket wrench and they didnt budge with PB Blaster oil. The grill body is rusted and will be replaced in the future but in the mean time I dont want to damage it to remove the screws.

With a dremel.
Try a bit of wd40 and the Phillips screw driver, worst case you can use a dremel tool to slice the head off and then tap it through with a punch tool.
lot’s of pb-blaster and some time to let it soak.
Hit them with a torch until theyre glowing. Then remove them
Grinder with a cutoff wheel
Just grind them off
You buy a new grill lol
Grind them off, buy new hardware.
Gas torch fire and wd40
Also add some metal lists + welding.
Search youtube shorts for hints.
It can’t be stuck if it’s liquid! – cutting torch.
Flush cut with a reciprocal saw. Plunge cut.
With a screwdriver
Flatblade screwdriver should hold in those heads. Hold the nut with channies and crank on the screws.
Drill or cut…
When you buy a new grill inspect internals for issues like this & the ease of repairing/replacement of worn parts.
Many folks try removing (Weber) burner tube retention firebox screws instead of sliding tubes out… the retention screws are permanent. Items that are heat stressed are not meant to be repaired.
It might be easier to remove the wall
Use a pair of locking pliers (Vise Grips) to tightly grab the nut and rock back and forth until they come… Off… LOL
Seriously though, the screws will usually snap in two, especially after being cooked and rusted.
Carefully. Use Vice Grips.
Drill
angle grinder,
then replace with stainless screws
Gotta buy them dinner 1st…..
PB blaster and a vise grip. Easy peasy
Sometimes it’s about letting go instead of wasting time.
