The food I'd sooo good. From breakfast to their Cuban sandwich to their cheesecake. A spin on the classic American diner

I’m Cuban-American and found this place to be straight up terrible, especially their Cuban sandwich 🤷🏻♀️

Latin not Spanish

Haven’t been in a while but their blue corn pancakes were pretty good.

More Cuban than Spanish, but this place comes in clutch at odd hours since it’s open 24/7

LOVE the skirt steak

It’s been around for a long time and it’s open 24 hours … but it’s just average, it was average even 10 years ago

I’d give their food a solid C+, B-
It has gotten much, much better since they opened though. Their drinks are great, and it’s one of the few places downtown actually open for 24 hours!

Anybody been to and have a comparison with Margon, La Isla and ticos cafeteria ?

The food was unfortunately overcooked and dry when we went there for brunch. It’s a shame because I love the concept behind it

I’ll never forget the time I tried to grab a bite there with my boyfriend, and the bouncer was pissed off that I had a water bottle in my coat pocket. It was maybe 11pm and I guess it turns clubby after a certain time because there was never a group of bouncers outside of the restaurant any other time I’ve eaten there, but he would *not* let us in until my water was gone. He got in my face about it, I guess to sniff out alcohol? It was so much more intense than it needed to be, a simple “sorry, can’t let that bottle inside” would have been enough.
Good food, though.

I love that place. I go out super late in bk all the time but live uptown so whenever I have to transfer at 14th street late at night and the trains are taking forever I always run upstairs and get a Cuban and michelada 🙂
Boom_Valvo
Place is great. I am happy it has survived

I remember when I first went in 2022 when I was super hangry on a late night. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found it on 8it. A place with a legit Cuban sandwich and it’s open all night? It felt like a dream.
Interesting_dogDad
Idk I guess it depends on what circles you run in. Coppelia has always been a staple for myself and my friend group for a milkshake or food after a night out.

haven’t tried it yet, but i see their cuban is on 8it recommended by Thrillist. Cuban food is tough to find done well here in NYC. so far my favorite discovery is the cuban at Margon. pro tip: if you see construction workers and UPS drivers eating there, its probably gonne be fire
