I'll go first! These Progresso soups with Quest protein chips feel like such a life hack.

I'm a stay at home mom of two toddlers, so I don't always have time to carefully measure out every meal. These are my go-to's for when I'm hungry and short on time. I just heat up the soup, add a little bit of extra seasoning, and sprinkle the chips on top of the soup while I eat. It's delicious, low calorie, high protein, and very filling.

The loaded taco chips and black bean soup are 350 calories and 39 grams of protein altogether, and the chili lime chips and chicken tortilla soup are 330 calories and 33 grams of protein altogether. They're great to mix and match too!

What are your favorite instant or low-effort meals?

  1. That black bean soup is one of my favorites! I just add hot sauce to it. Surprisingly hearty for the calories.

Also those steamer bag veggie blends can add a lot of volume to lean cuisine type frozen meals.

Packet of tuna, chopped up cukes, and creamy horseradish plus pickles lol. Yours looks way better 😂

  3. Oooo. This looks awesome. I never would have tried this

Here to echo how good that black bean soup is! I add jalapeños, low fat sour cream, shredded cheese and a few tortilla chips to dress it up. Never considered adding the quest chips before but will give that a try next time.

I’m obsessed with simple protein oats. rolled oats, chia, water, protein powder. sunflower seeds and 15g cheerios on top – takes about 5 minutes to make

    – Think high protein bars
    – Morning star grillers crumbles (+ spices)
    – Chobani 30g protein no added sugar drink

2 grilled cheeses, 4 slices keto bread, 2 slices reduced fat american, 1/2 tbsp light mayo instead of butter on each sandwich

I love cottage cheese with dots of Sriracha and everything but the bagel seasoning with some toast on the side!

I like the low sodium Progresso lentil soup. I add a can of water, a bag of spinach, tomatoes and kale or whatever other veggies I have. Sometimes I’ll pour it over some firm avocado to add a little fat. It stretches it to about 3 servings that I eat through the day.

Commenting to make coming back to this post easier

  14. I brown 6 pounds of ground beef at a time and throw a bunch of taco seasoning in. I freeze it. Each week I thaw 1.5-2 pounds at a time. For lunch most days I combine a few ounces of ground beef, a big spoonful or two for cottage cheese, and taco sauce. I eat that with a half a bag of quest protein chips. This has been my goto high protein meal for a while. Sometimes I’ll add diced tomatoes, olives, sour cream, jalapeños, or shredded cheese. Whatever I have around.

There is a bit of effort to brown the ground beef, but once you have that done it just a matter of throwing it all together.

1/2 cup refried beans, an egg, some hot sauce. 1/3 or 1/2 an avocado and it’s a great meal, usually do this for breakfast.

If not too hungry sometimes dinner will be a serving of kashi go lean peanut butter cereal (8g fiber, 10g protein, 220 calories) and an apple. 🍏 can’t think of anything easier than that

I eat the 16oz tub of Trader Joe’s plain Greek nonfat yogurt with cinnamon and stevia, and one cup of frozen blueberries.
The yogurt is 275cal and 46 protein. One cup of blueberries are 70 calories, and the whole thing fills me up!

That exact combo of the black bean progresso soup and quest chips is my favorite! Me one mod is I will cook a bag of shredded cabbage on the stove with a little salt and chili spices and then add the soup and heat. It only adds like 50 cals but a TON of volume.

Finally something I can access in Australia.

Love making a Greek yogurt dip with sour cream & onion spice or sriracha. Cut up cucumber & carrot sticks to dip in it!! Quick, easy, volumous, low kcal & yummy

I bought chicken patties at Costco that are microwaveable, and a bag of broccoli florets. Heat the chicken patty + handful of broccoli at the same time in the microwave and drizzle with a tbsp of teriyaki sauce. Can pair it with microwaveable rice but I rarely bother.

I love those damn chips. Every day for lunch I do jasmine rice, ground beef or turkey with taco seasoning, some cottage cheese, and those chips crunched up.

  22. That black bean soup is so good! Impressive amount of protein for a vegetarian

Have you tried the Zesty Santa Fe Style Chicken soup?

New hack unlocked! I didn’t know about that black bean soup; in fact I didn’t know they had other high protein soups as well. I just looked it up, 200 calories for the whole can, 2 servings per can, 9g of protein per serving. I can’t do the protein chips because of dairy but I could cook up a serving of lean ground beef or turkey to add for some extra protein. Add a little chili seasoning. Crush up a few ritz crackers for about 40 calories. Low effort chili for around 400 calories and over 40g of protein (can lose about 70 calories if going for the lowest fat content on the beef/turkey). My day has been made. I will add this soup to my grocery list. I know its just as easy to make a quick chili on the stove or in the slow cooker, but I’m usually making meals for one and I hate trying to figure out the serving size/calories for bigger batches of food, its really confusing. This makes life easy.
