Hi, first time growing cherry tomatoes inside. Last year I direct sowed but wanted to get a head start this year. These seedlings will be inside with me for the next 5ish weeks and I will transplant first week of May. Should I individually pot them or will they be ok in the trays until then? I will slowly introduce them to outside in about 3 weeks and then transplant in May.

Wait until your roots start to hit the bottom of their cell. Not wrapping around but just starting to fill it out.

Your cells look very wet too. Either put a fan on them so the tops dry out and/or bottom water. Maybe remove that bottom watering tray so it doesn’t lock in moisture.

When you do pot up, solo cups (with holes made in the bottom/bottom sides) work great! Very cost effective if potting up a lot. I just had to pot up 79 Cherokee purple heirloom seedlings 🌱 💖

You can wait but I usually do when the true leaves just start forming. Works fine – there are plenty of roots already in there.
