Sanniti Pulled Salmon in Chili Mango Sauce. It is a product of Denmark. The production of this brand is an interesting one which may be interesting to some folks. More on that later. First, the review.

Opening this tin was a surprise. I was expecting something akin to finely shredded or small chunks of salmon. I was greeted by what looked like a puree but maybe it would be more accurate to say it looked like a pate. Is this pulled Salmon or is that a marketing term to get people to buy a pate when they may otherwise look the other way?

As expected, the contents easily spread on toast based on the texture.

To be clear, appearances aside, this tastes incredible. It has a lot of depth in flavor – there is a sweetness from the mango and tomato, with slight vinegar notes and a very dominant warming spice from ginger, chili and seemingly garlic. It’s such a complex mix of tastes. The texture is very smooth. I loved the flavor regardless of what it is – however one thing was missing. I did not taste any fish! Perhaps the Salmon was so mild it could not be detected or it was just overpowered by the sauce. I just loved this as a food item but I am not sure how to classify it in terms of expectations of canned fish. Regardless, I want more.

    Ingredients:

Salmon, tomato paste, water, rapeseed oil, sugar, white wine vinegar, mango chutney (sugar, mango, salt, vinegar, chili, ginger), salt, spices, chili

This can has a packing code of DK 2008 EC which I noticed on cans of https://conserves-paralleles.com.

This is because Fimco, which was started by Alexis Barbet operates Conservas Parallèles. There are partnerships with Danish canneries to produce products sold in France. So who is the Danish Cannery?

It is https://munkeboseafood.com who is operated by https://bakkafrostshop.com.

These are the names behind the products from Sanniti and some offerings from https://fangst.com.
