Should I have gone somewhere else? Cheese was amazing, sausage onion was pretty good. Different than pizza in Texas that’s for sure

  1. Looks like a solid slice! And yes, you do need to try pizza.

Depending on where you are located
    Princess street pizza
    Lombardis
    Scarrs
    Joes
    John’s
    Patsys
    Artichoke basil
    The list is endless

27 dollars for a cheese pizza. What a joke.

You should try my favorite New York pizza joint, Sbarro!

Every living human being needs to try pizza. Where did you go?

  6. Vitos is solid. But since you’re in that area check out NY Pizza Suprema and then walk a few blocks to R Slice (Robertas). Both are right by MSG. Enjoy

Looks good but you’ll be sad to know Vito’s doesn’t even rank on the top 10 best slices in Midtown. You were so close to Joe’s or Suprema, plus Pop’s or Sacco is just up the street near central park! If you’re still there head to one of those later.

Be safe. And if you see something; say something

Doesn’t look like anything I’d beat a path to their door for.

Suprema’s fell off. Anyone recommending it hasn’t been there in a while…

  11. It’s NYC, not sure what the prices are shocking.

Hell a local place I get here in NC, large, pepperoni delivery is like 30 + tip

You’ve never tried pizza before and NYC is your first pick?

It’s known for cheap pizza, not good pizza.

I feel like a lot of people get that confused

sorry but that looks horrible – you could tell me for a week how much you liked it – I would say to late I looked at it

30$ for a mid cheese pie in Manhattan, shits wild.

That’s not a very good slice. If you want the NY pizza experience you need to go to Staten Island and Brooklyn. Manhattan, believe it or not, is absolutely not known for their pizza places. It’s very mid pizza, minus maybe 3 pizzerias.

Staten Island is definitely the best of NY though, and it’s even nicknamed Pizza Island. There’s a saying here: “There’s no such thing as a bad slice on Staten Island.”

Brooklyn has a lot of mixed places where they’re either great or just mid, but you’d have to look into their ratings.

Want a real New York slice? Joe & Pat’s in Staten Island, who also own a pizzeria in Manhattan under the same name that is just as good. Their vodka slices are the best you can get but their cheese is just as good. Staten Island is also home to one of the most world class pizzerias, Denino’s. It’s worth the trip. But try finding Joe & Pat’s in Manhattan at least.

Joe’s, Joe & Pat’s, and Lombardi’s are the best of Manhattan.

  16. I went to Vitos during my first trip to the US last year. Loved it, very tasty, would buy again. Wish I’d bought a t shirt to bring back to the UK.
