Habanero Hummus or classic hummus? Either way is a delicious dip that’s so easy to make you never really need to buy it from the store. You can use canned chickpeas to make your life easy, or you can boil your own, which will yield a slightly better result.
.
Do you like flavored hummus or stick with the classic?
.
2 lemons, juiced
3 cloves garlic
1 habanero seeded (or more if you like it really spicy)
30oz garbanzo beans
1/2 cup tahini
3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp cumin
Salt & pepper to taste
.
add lemon juice, habanero, and garlic to a blender or food processor. Pulse until fine. Add remaining ingredients and puree until smooth. While blending, add in a few ice cubes to help the garbanzo beans emulsify smoothly.

Looks great yummy
Fun fact: The spiciest part of the pepper is actually the white portion that holds the seeds! It has the highest concentration of capsaicin in the pepper.
