Ok, so Chris isn’t in charge of marketing or PR anymore. Solid move.

Welp. Tonight, we drink, smoke, snort or plug for frank.

Remember the submarine that imploded? The following day the company put an ad for a submarine pilot.

I’d say that’s some cold ass shit but fire table 12

  8. Remember this post any time you are asked to pick up extra shifts, or cover for someone who quit, or take on extra shit with no extra pay.

This is your obituary in this country.

Sorry Chris. I don’t think I could fit Frank’s shoes. Instead of interviewing with you in your time of need could you please post the time and location of the memorial to remember a fallen soldier? I am sure his friends and family would appreciate it while you wait in the office for your next candidate.

  10. There was a place near me that was the master class of what to do in this situation a few years ago.

Head chef passed away one day before work. The restaurant announced it was going to be closed for the week to allow staff to grieve. They were still going to pay employees for their scheduled hours though. They gave the family of the chef some money, which covered most of the funeral expenses. They started a go fund me for the family that raised enough to cover the rest of the funeral and a couple months of pay.

Other restaurants in the area either gave a portion of their sales for the week to the family or to the restaurant.

When they reopened there was a picture of the chef over the door to the kitchen. They promoted a line cook to the head chef and then created a job posting for the line cook position that was now open. The promoted chef is still there and they renamed the previous chefs favorite menu item after him.

Also in the r/Iowa sub, the comments from folks about Frank are so nice. Sounds like the locals are bullying this place to hell and back.

  12. A solid reminder that you switch jobs for owners/ management not location. Someone fell down the stairs and died in a freak accident in a city I used to work in and he had only been there for a year for so and the whole downtown came out and it was a funeral crawl around town. I’m honestly not sure they paid anything the whole night besides tips they sure as shit didn’t with me.
