Looked great until I got a phantom butane flavor in my mouth

Looks amazing! Ignore the ignoramuses who freak out at the sight of a butane torch. They can use a broiler if they like.

*Melts crew brûlée* “Oh, how delightful!”

    *Melts cheese* “YOU FUCKING DONKEY!”

    Food grade butane exists.

“ThE bUtAnE!” Fuckin dipshits in here have never seen a culinary torch before. Ever had creme brulee, baked Alaska, seared fruit garnishes, etc? I absolutely fucking guarantee you the fancy restaurant in town has 5 of these.

looks amazing I would eat the hell out of it. I’m not freaking out about the torch at all if it worked well but I think a toaster/airfryer oven would melt it more thoroughly. just did this last night with a steak sandwich it was great. love that airfryer char and it melts all the way through. or just assemble hot and let it melt for a sec from the hot ingredients

  11. The torch is a great idea, especially if it’s the next day. I wish I could find a better way to get perfect melting cheese.

This is only the second time I’ve seen a pastrami Ruben. I’ve only seen them made with corned beef before. Is pastrami good on a Ruben?
