Was thinking about this giant burger I made a few years ago. Decided to look up the photos and it was actually 11 years ago. Thought I would share one of my favourite burgers but on a very large scale. Sliced it into 12 or 14 pieces I believe.

Local ground beef, pulled pork, applewood smoked bacon, jalapeño havarti, roasted red peppers, pickled onions, brioche bun, lettuce, tomato, spicy mayo, guacamole (spoon and beer can for scale).

    That’s a hamburger cake.

    Or a hamburger lasagna.

    A burgersagna if you will.

Awesome burger, but that’s not even close to enough cheese. You gotta cover that whole patty, and probably two layers are in order.

Yes, finally someone who does it right! If make burger big, make big out, not up!

There used to be a place that served one like this an hour or so away. They called it the Swamp Burger. It was just as big and super good. Grats on keeping it together on the grill.

West Coast slow clap. Awesome. I guess out here we’d have Lucky or some very hoppy microbrew IPA.

When I was a kid (I’m 52 now), there was a local restaurant that made something similar. I think it was called circus burger or clown burger, or something like that. I only remember my family getting one once. We got it for take out and had a picnic with it. I thought it was the coolest thing ever!
